Question about jump sequences
Hi, everyone--
I looked back at this thread and can't find an answer to my question. Would flip-half loop-step to BO on other foot-toe loop count as a sequence? I looked at ISU Communication 1459 (clarifications) on the USFS web site, which says that a "jum sequence may consist of any number of jumps of any number of revolutions that may be linked by nonlisted jumps and or hops immediately following each other while maintaining the jump rhythm (knee); there can be no turns/steps, crossovers, or stroking during the sequence." So I'm guessing stepping from the BI edge of the half loop onto BO edge on the other foot is considered a "step" and thus not allowed? I skate Bronze, so the events I'm in are not being judged under IJS.

Yes, it can be done. I saw 2Lu-1/2 Lo-2T sequence at one of the Regionals called as a 2Lu-2T+SEQ

Hmmm... that might have been a mistake. No steps are allowed, and that was clearly a step.

She may have kind of "hopped" from the 1/2 loop to the other foot so it was technically not a step, it was hard to tell from the video angle.
