What's Your Favorite Figure Skating Discipline?

My favourite discipline varies by competition...I love watching an event that has a deep field, and with many possible podium contenders and thus a lack of predictability.

He went with pairs skating and I love the drama and danger of that. Having seen some terrible falls after the female skater is thrown across the ice, I think the danger is under-estimated.

Also, it is so hard for a single skater to stand out. For two to do well together...well, when it works, it takes my breath away! Having said that, I'll always love watching Michelle Kwan's performances, from her initial start to now. She really grew and evolved in her years as a skater.

I love watching the men's the most and Ice dance is my other love ^^ not to keen on ladies and pairs don't know why.... lol
but yeah Men's and Ice dance LOVE LOVE LOVE :)

I love the Dance and the ladies.

But mainly the dance, ever since watching it in 2006 Torino. In Ireland it is never on TV outside of Olympics and the country only has one permenant ice rink which was built in 2007, in my town actually. So watch out in the future Ireland will have a ton of skaters. :lol:

But watching Torino was what really got me hooked on dance with the falls, Barbara after the OD, and of course Navka and Kostomarov :bow::bow:.

1st place - I like the ladies. I guess it's probably because I'm a figure skater myself (girl) currently at the novice level.

2nd place - I also like pairs too. (I would like to give it a try too.)

3rd place - Mens is ok. I like to watch it.

4th place - I'm not really into the dance. It's not that I don't think it's difficult (because it is), but I like watching the jumps and spins and stuff. My Mom likes to watch the dance, though. :)

They do it all: lifts, jumps, spins, intricate footwear, daring maneuvers at high speed AND there's 16 of them getting it right!
