Way to go, Andrea!

From all the input I have gotten so far, all the adults at Lake Placid passed their tests.

Also all three people who tested figures on Monday passed as well.

Thank you FigureSkates, and a huge congrats to you, too!

You laid out some awesome "eights" in the Lussie Rink! Big accomplishment!

It was so nice to meet you up in Lake Placid!!! Can't wait to see you, again, next summer when you will be working on your First Figure test, which is a big deal: Forward Inside Eight, Forward Outside Eight, Back Outside Eight and those very cool Serpentines!

Thanks, LoopLoop and everyone else.

No problem: I'm 49 years old

Merced,

The want speed, power, and confidence. If you have these three things and put a foot down, they don't care. But if you skate cautiously, and never put a foot down, they will fail you everytime. At least, that has been my experience. Good luck with your Int. Moves. I'm very anxious now to begin Novice Moves.

A BIG CONGRATS TO CAREYGRAM, BECAUSE SHE PASSED HER INTERMEDIATE MOVES THE FIRST TIME AROUND...I WITNESSED IT! WEEEE WHOOOO

Lovepairs,

Of course I can't forget the almost boo boo of stepping out on the ice with my guards on...that would have been exciting plus what an impression THAT would have made on the judges!

The only two times I have ever stepped out on the ice with my guards on has been at that rink!

And for the record, I'm 60!

Figureskates,

You don't know this, but I was standing behind the window saying to your friend "Now, Jack...take your guards off." And then you went to step on the ice with your guards on and your friend and I started screaming through the glass. It was a scene out of THE GRADUATE!!! LOL!!! You were so distracted, but you caught yourself just in the knick of time!

Lovepairs,

Ann, that was my friend you were talking to, told me all about it after the test. We went to the Lake Placid Brewpub to celebrate afterwards and she told me the story.

The other people in the hallway must of thought you two were daft!
