What are you working on?

Say I was wondering what everyone is working on at this present time as skaters?

Various footwork exercises, mainly at the moment: change-edge twizzles, loops, deeper edges, better control in general

How about learning how to really skate and not just stumbling around the ice pretending to know how to skate?

Not in any particular order:
  • My new interp program, including getting the arms right and not look so stiff...
  • Jumps up to a lutz. Flip and Lutz trying to land it consistently. The rest --trying to make existing jumps smoother and toe loops less of a "toe waltz."
  • Lower sit spins
  • Actually do a 3 rev. camel spin!
  • Silver Moves
  • Back power 3's (so I can put that as an entrance for my interp program!)

Stop that - no self-beatings allowed! You get better all the time; just stay on top of things and you'll be fine.

I'm coasting this summer with the kids at home, but I'm focused on my footwork and dance steps while trying to get all my singles back.

I've totally been doing the stumble around pretending to know how to skate since I was about 3 yrs old. Ha ha. It's particularly obvious on the diag patterns on my jr moves test.

I've been off the ice for 5months from a concussion, broken wrist, and a very bad back, but in 10days i'm starting skating again. So i've been working on jobs off ice to get my whole body, but mostly my head back to spinning again.
