NISA Membership
I have been thinking for a while now about whether I should obtain NISA membership, and I was on their website today and the membership page has been updated to what it covers.
Does anyone on here have NISA membership? I understand that you have to have it to compete, which I am a long way off, but would it be a good idea anyway to become a member now? When do skaters usually join? I am still a beginner skater but am starting to really improve now. Would be good to know your oppinion on this. |

I didn't join until I put in for my NISA level 1 test. Unless you are about to test or compete, you don't really need to be a member. I'd save the expense until you need to be a member as the subs have gone up yet again.

I agree. Don't join until you have to. I joined when I did my first test too. As far as I can see you get no other benefits so only do it when you need to compete or test and save some money.

Agree with the others. If you're planning to compete or test (Level 1 Bronze and up) this year, then you'll need to join, but not unless.
