Skating in St Louis

I'm heading out to St Louis (MO) for the weekend and was wondering if it was worth it to bring along my skates. I'd just be looking to spend an hour or two at a relatively non-crowded session (public or freestyle) where figure skating is allowed. Saturday or Sunday afternoon.

Thanks for any info!

Kim

My favorite rink: http://www.kirkwoodmo.org/parks/rink...blic%20Session

Click on April under public sessions.

Or you can try: http://www.creve-coeur.org/Com-Serv/icearena.htm

Both are good rinks!!

I recommend the St. Peters Rec Plex.

Most all skaters at St. Peters will be gone for synchro competitions in Chicago or freestyle at Skate Kansas City, so if you can make the freestyles in St. Peters at 6:30am or 8:00am, you might have the ice all to yourself. There are no freestyles Saturday afternoon or Sunday afternoon, but there are open skates, and attendance at those sessions really depends on the weather.

I"m looking to see what Creve Couer or StlSC has, and I can't find any info.

You might also want to check out the St. Louis Mills for freestyles and public sessions. The rink is located in the mall, it's the practice ice for the Blues, and they are finishing the season away.

Enjoy!

WWW.CCFSC.COM is the Creve Coeur FSC address, but they don't have any afternoon club ice. If you do choose to skate their morning club ice session, PM me and I'll tell you who to talk with.

Thanks everyone!

I'm not exactly sure which rink is closest to my dad, so I think I'll probably just bring my skates and see what has time that fits in with whatever he has planned.

You should be able to walk on to freestyle sessions at the rink in Brentwood, MO this Saturday and/or Sunday afternoon -- go to the St. Louis SC site at http://stlouisskatingclub.org/ and click on "Ice Schedule" and then "April Ice Reservation Form" for times and prices. The rink at Webster Groves is another place worth checking out.
