Skating Goodies

Ha! We are having Opens at our rink for the first three days of this week, and for the first time there were sales stands there. And I bought two pairs of bootcovers (well, what else?), one navy and one gold, and a red T-shirt that says (in gold) "Heaven is a perfect 6.0". I wanted one that said "100% committed. Go Sk8", but they didn't have it in my size and I didn't want it badly enough to order it.

Also bought a CD holder that says "Skating is forever" (so true!).

It was the adults this afternoon, and they were great, as always! I wasn't competing this time, which is fun in its own way, but it's not the same, of course. But they were super, as always.

My friend was there and said that she and her husband are also trying to learn a dance spin in time for our Adult Championships in October - but he can't spin, any more than Robert and I can, and she can't spin anti-clockwise! It looks as though we are in for Interesting Times!

Meanwhile good to see some of the skaters who I hadn't hoped to see until the Mountain Cup.
