Let me in on all of this passing!! ;-)

I took my bronze dance today and passed!!! Each dance had a judge at .2 over and a judge with .1 over. Woohoo!!

Now I get to start on that European! (any advice Jen?)

Hugs!!

Danielle

Re: Let me in on all of this passing!! ;-)

Congrats on the bronzes and the great passes...

Lots of neat dropped 3-turns. Don't "bounce" in the knees...continuous rise and sink gives the waltz feel desired in the EW.

My first coach for the EW many years ago had me do between 50 and 100 drop 3's each time I trained (not counting the work in lesson).

I heard a good quote when I was up at the Garden State Pro-Am... "The European Waltz was a $10,000 dance." (I stopped and figured it out... it probably was quite close for me, and I passed on my 3rd try, which is pretty good for adults in my club. By the time I counted up all the lessons on EW, 3 test sessions, practice time, etc. Definitely several thousand dollars invested in that dang dance.)

I actually enjoy skating it. And it's much more fun to skate when one doesn't have to train it.

I think I've already posted my congratulations to you elsewhere - unless there are two of you out there - but congratulations anyway!
