One of my fellow adult skaters at my rink is moving to Melbourne, Australia, soon. She is a Bronze level skater with Silver moves (USFSA).

Are there rinks in Melbourne? Are there good coaches that anyone can recommend? I just thought I'd check to see if anyone on this board was from around there...

Pennybeagle - I am from Melbourne and skate at our only rink. Apparently another one has opened recently but it is all so secretive nobody knows where it is.

We do have a few coaches here and we also have a very supportive adult skating community. Our Master's Cup is coming up in June which your friend might be interested in entering.

Tell her to email me at kwillyau@ozemail.com.au and I can fill her in on details. Just ask her to put the subject of "Skating in Melbourne" in the subject so I know it is not spam.
