Video request
Does anybody have any videos of themselves or others taking tests that passed? I would like to watch some test sessions for the various levels (standard and adult) to see what sort of skill level is passing quality for the elements...

Not allowed at any of the tests I have taken or watched in the uk, it may be allowed at some rinks but I have been to three different rinks in the uk so far and it has been a no no.

NISA rules state that no video or photography can be taken during test sessions here in the UK. Best thing to do is go along to a test session and see how it works.

We are allowed to tape at test sessions in the US. I don't have any of my moves, & all my dances that I have are on tape. But someone may have something that will be useful.
You should be aware though, that different standards sometimes apply in different regions, depending on the judges being used. I've seen some dance tests on youtube that no way no how would have passed in my area. I've also seen some really beautiful tests fail that I thought would have passed. So in addition to whatever videos you find, it is also a good idea to attend a session or two that's local & see what everyone is doing. It's a good idea! Hope you get some good responses. |
