When do you know you need new skates

How can you tell you need new skates? I've had mine for a while, but they seem to still be holding up pretty well. How will I be able to tell once it's time?

Do they feel too small? Usually I need to get new skates because mine are too small. If they are hurting your feet or look like they are about to collapse, I would suggest getting new ones. But, if they feel fine, I don't see a point in getting new ones.

If your ankles are flopping all over the place when you try to land jumps, it's time for new ones.

Do your boots flop over to the side?
Or do they have lots of creasing on the outside?
Have they become uncomfortable in any way, or do you feel they don't provide the same support?

Were they brand new when you got them?
What's their make and age?

Happy skating!

I certainly do not need new boots. However, I have had lust in my heart for some pretty soft shade of blue ones. Checked the price during US Nationals.........oh well.....

Oh, I've always heard what the others have said...when the boots become floppy, it's time for new ones.
