Awesome -- thanks for the info, philly!

I entered 5 events, but it looks like I may only be able to get there in time for 3.

I'll look into that and post the changes.

philly

Update:
We notified the referee about the discrepancy. We double-checked our records and this is the only event missing from the schedule. I'll post a revised scheduled ASAP, and it will also be available on our website. Be on the lookout for practice ice sign-up info and an invitation to the competitors party in your mailbox and on the website. But my advice is to check the website frequently starting Saturday b/c practice ice availability will be first-come, first-served.

Thanks!

Second Update:
The schedule has been updated to include the Ladies Pre-Bronze FS event. It will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m.

Thanks, Terri! It's my pleasure. I'm happy all of you decided to make the trip for our inaugural year! And I'm really looking forward to meeting everyone.

I'll definitely post an update as soon as the practice ice reservation forms are available. But don't worry, there is a lot of practice ice reserved (pretty much all day Friday and 4 sessions on Saturday morning) so no one should be left out.

P.S. To all you Maneuver Teams out there, remember to bring a sign with your team name! And to those in the Pre-Bronze/Bronze Team event, watch out for the lean, mean "Ice Workaholics"!!! Let the games begin....

Roll call for Halloween Classic!

Who's competing, and in what events?

I'm in silver pairs, interpretive II, and silver/gold team maneuver.

I'm in silver pairs (see above for partner!), adult improv, silver/gold maneuver team (see above for one of my team members!), silver spins, and silver men FS.

Wow, I'm tired just typing that out, let alone the skating.

I'm in Bronze Spins, Pre-Bronze Solo Dance and Pre-Bronze/Bronze Maneuver Team. Would have loved to work in the freestyle program, but the Board pretty much vetoed that (since I'm in charge of registration, music and....well....just about everything else except judges).

Ladies Pre-Bronze FS. Terri C and I will renew our rivalry from New Year's.

I thought about doing the Bronze compulsory but my coach talked me out of it - mostly b/c I've never done circular footwork and my loop and sit spin aren't in the greatest shape right now. And given the event's early hour on the schedule, I'm glad she talked me out of it. Actually, I'm going to try to get there by 8 on Saturday to watch another of my coach's students compete in no-test CM.

Bring it on baby! I too opted out of Bronze Compulsory, since I'm putting out a new program for the first time and want to put total focus on that, but I will be in the Improv event on Friday!

Wow, good luck! I don't have the courage to do that yet. It's hard enough for me to remember what I'm supposed to be doing in a program when I've practiced the choreography a zillion times. Hopefully at this event, unlike New Year's, I'll skate in the right direction when the music starts. And the resurfacing right after my comp gives me an opportunity to take off my skates - so hopefully no rust this time!

Are you doing a new program or the one you did at AN last year?

Hi,
I'm doing the "friends" program from last year. DJ, the woman who helped me with it, and hosted the first AN, could not come to Nationals as her husband was not well. So this is for her, - to thank her for all she's done for the adult skating.
My new program won't be ready for a while!

Oh, cool! I never got to see the program in its final version. I'm looking forward to seeing it. Here's hoping I can stay awake until the interp events (I think I'll have to get up that morning at 5 or so).

No, Claudia decided to sit this one out, since she has 4 (!) students competing. And she just got new skates, so she needs to break them in. I think she's going to compete at New Year's.

Congrats on your dress. I'm having one of the skating moms at my rink do some detailing on mine to um, dress it up more (no pun intended).

Hi Debbie,
We'll miss Claudia, we could have been in the new skate event together. What are her students events? Perhaps we can share rides. I'm going up Thursday am, and schoolfigures (team member) is going up on Friday.

So far it's - Phyillyskater, Loops, Nova, InsideAxel, Flo, Dani, Schoolfigures, DebbieS, TerriC, DCden, and ???
Anyone missing?

Hey flo,

I just sent you a PM.

Dani, are you doing FS? One of my coach's other students is doing Bronze II. Or are you Silver now?

Okay people-- who got their goodies in the mail today???

Looking at the practice ice options, Friday will be the only day I'll be on any practice- what sessions I'll have to think about, since I have Improv on Friday afternoon. Anyone else know what they're doing??
