I didn't read far enough to see they are custom- and I agree, you get what you pay for. I bet the $4 pants I bought yesterday only last me a year- and I'm not hard on my skating pants (they'll fade in the wash). Thanks for the great review of those pants!
Didn't think you were rude at all; I used to think the same thing about the cost, and I'm very Scots and raised-by-depression-era-mother, so I feel guilty about spending THAT sort of cash on pants - ! and like I have to justify why I do ... (or I did before we started having to buy custom skate boots ... now I'm just numb and resigned to cash outflow)

I saw an ad for what looks to be these very pants in Skating Magazine. They are from http://www.bearhillsports.com/postwopa.html

The picture in Skating Magazine looks just like the picture you posted and they come with either a blue stripe or a white stripe. The website indicates they can be pulled over the heel.

i'm not sure whether or not the savvy pants really sell for 70. i got mine from the pro shop at my rink for 50, and when i buy through Savannah (aka savvy. her mom makes them) they're also 40-50. but i do want to mention that while the savvy pants are suuuper cute they are not the most durable. the fabric pills and does tear much more quickly than the se_kus. my favorite thing about the savvy pants is that they come with hook and eye closures so that you can keep them snug over the heel of your boot

US Figure Skating's online shop sells some similar to this (plain black, no stripe) for $58 (for adult sizes).

They look like they have something that attaches around the heel to keep them on. I'm getting ready to order a pair with a gift cert I got for Christmas I've been wanting a pair of these pants for months now!

I LOVE them. They were nice and thick, but surprisingly stretchy. The material was nice and slippy so that I slid more than usual when I fell, but the ice didn't stick to them and get the material soaking wet. The rubber bits on the bottom was really helpful to keep them on the boot. I stretched them to pull the backs down over the heel, which was difficult because the elastic's so tight.

(Of course, I just had to catch my toe pick on my right calf and ripped a teeny little hole already. Pff, typical. )

I just got these (2nd pair, top row) on Saturday from Target - http://www.target.com/b/ref=in_se_pa...1&fromBrowse=1 - and paid about $19.99 for them. They're super comfy and stretchy featuring a bootleg cut, so you won't catch the bottom of the pants and fall/rip them. Plus, they kept my legs nice and toasty.
