  • bronze MIF, since 2003
  • quit dance while working on bronze, passed last prebronze 2007
  • prebronze free, for as long as I can remember!

Whenever I pass tests I just feel glad it's over!

Ummm...well Im not offically at a "level". I've competed from prepre-to juv in showcase and artistic..mind you. I have a fear of testing and I have really really closed hips so things like choctaws and mohawks give me h***. Yet Im working on doubles and combo spins. So I guess I've been at the 'Laney' level(my own personal level) for two and a half years. Why 2 1/2? Because that was when I was able to start doing cool jumps, brackets, double threes, spins, competiting and had actual programmes. My coach says thats the best level to be at because I can compete at any level....however I would get creamed if I ever competed novice..obviously. Im more artistic and showy anyways.

Silver Free, since April '08. It felt great to pass that test, especially since I was coming back from an injury.

Preliminary Dance, since February '08. Felt even better to pass this, because two of the dances took me two tries to pass!

I am a proud member of the Adult Gold for life club unless I somehow miraculously gain three or four doubles. Although if I do get a few, I would definitely consider taking the Intermediate test and moving up to the new masters level.

Well, maybe it only seems like "forever" but it's been 15 years since I've tested any dances... although that may change sometime!!

Hope is alive.
