could someone please look up elibility info....
Sorry, I've ordered a rulebook & it hasn't come yet.
I need to know eligibility info for the US, novice ice dance, for competition. I think it's that both partners need: novice moves novice free dance at least 1 silver dance and there's no age restriction. Is this correct? |

That was correct last I knew. I don't have this year's rulebook yet either, but I don't remember hearing anything about that changing, and it would have affected quite a few of my friends if it had.

I think this is correct. One thing I think is really interesting about Novice is that if a person doesn't have any free-dances and wants to compete Novice, they can skip the Preliminary and Juvenile (and Intermediate -- anyway-- they s=can skip these lower ones) and just take the Novice free dance so they can compete if they pass it and fulfill the other requirements.
I think this was done so that a person who had surpassed the age limits on the other levels could compete at a level where their age was eligible (or in the case of Novice, there is no age limit). Happy skating!
