Music ideas

Hi,
I have a little problem finding music for a gala, here is the them
The main idea is to be a James bond girl.
I need to find a first part of the program where i am supposed to wear a kimono
but I can't find any music for that bit, then I 'm going to skate to the diamonds are forever song from shirley Bassey mixed with the Kanye west version
I know it sound really weird but the clubs choreographer is renound for making weird things into wonderful things!!
I 'd love a few ideas
THANKS
SOPH xxxx

I don't see why one can't skate to any Bond music wearing a Kimono. The music doesn't need to have a Japanese influence. For example, you could portray a Japanese female assassin while skating to "Die Another Day"

One of the recent Bond movies was set in China (either 'Tomorrow Never Dies' or 'The World is Not Enough', can't remember which); perhaps the composer used some vaguely Oriental themes.

According to the World of James Bond Music Forum, there's a good orientalish mix of the theme in the soundtrack to You Only Live Twice. (I did a quick Google search.) http://www.ajb007.co.uk/index.php?forum=19 <--- that's the link to their forum. Maybe if you post a question they can give you advice!

Other than that, you can probably get away with just being a cool Japanese female assassin.

It was "Tomorrow Never Dies".

I like the Japanese female assassin/"Die Another Day" idea.

Actually, I remember a pro comp on TV in the mid-90s where a female skater (not one of the more decorated ones) skated to a James Bond theme - the movie/music name is escaping me right now, but it was the first movie with Pierce Brosnan as Bond.

Edited to add that the movie/music I was thinking of is "Goldeneye". It was sung by Tina Turner, I believe.

It was the Ryder's Cup competition. The skater was Charlene Von Sayer. I don't remember if she was British or Scottish. She had some really lovely qualities to her skating.

Whee, Ryder's Cup was arguably the most legit and best pro competition ever.
