Spin Levels
Hi, first of all, does Starskate use levels to judge their spins, in some way? What makes a spin, for example, level 1, and what would make that spin a level 3 or 4? Thanks

Don't know if your Starskate is on 6.0 or IJS. IJS is judged by levels for points. Spins all start out as Level 1 and the points related to a L1. When there are 2 features, you get a L2, 3 a level 3, and 4 a level 4 (there are discussions about adding a L5 for CCoSp). Features are defined in the ISU communication documents (also in the USFS communication documents) and it defines what constitutes features for each kind of spin.

You might want to ask your club how Starskate competitions are judged, since the competitions are organized by the skating clubs.

starskate does not look at levels for spins, etc. It's judged under the old system, with the exception of triathalon and biathalon
Talk to your coach. I would hope he/he would know about it. |
