help me with my jumps

My spins have been coming along great, but my problem is now jumps. Even the waltz jumps. I can't seem to get a half rotation, even though as i remember, the waltz jumps are in theory suppoesd to be a side to side jump. I just can't land on my right outside edge. i've tried a half flip too. nothing works. does anyone have any tips?

Just try going into it slow *remember speed = distance* and right now that's not what ur looking for. So start out slow, and try doing it with your arm's folded because then when you start to land.. your shoulders will not open up on you and cause you to keep rotating. For your half flip, think of keeping it on a straight line, *which its really a curve* and when you put ur toe in the ice, just turn to forwards on your toe and do a bunny hop! that's how i teach my students. any more questions feel free to email me @ gabigale01@hotmail.com thanks!
