anyone have the new USFS rule book?

I know that the rules will change as of September for Adult Moves. Does anyone know how the order that the Adult Silver Moves will go? I know that until August it will be 8-step Mohawk first, then goes the rest. I'd like to know the new order if anyone knows what it is, and if they can tell me what the judges will look for with the power pulls added in. Thanks! - Miraclegro

I don't think the rulebooks are out yet. When working on these w/ my students, here's what I focus on:

Power pulls need to be done from the knee, not from swinging arms, and need to maintain the same size & same speed as the beginning (in other words, getting a push from each edge to keep speed & not let the lobes get smaller & smaller as you go along). They should also be comparable forwards to backwards as far as speed & size/number of pulls you do. I tell my kids no more than 9 on each foot. I also make them try to do the same number on each foot--so there isn't obviously a good side & a bad side.

When going either forward or backward, you shouldn't be getting too obvious an assist from the free leg.

But with all that, I don't know what they'll do w/ the adult version.

D'oh, I guess that means the USFSA rulebook I ordered 3 weeks ago is already going to be invalid when it arrives??

Why only 9? I use them to build endurance, and sometimes do a full lap and a half of them before my leg is worn out. I do swing my arms though, because my former coach told me to. I guess I'll have to stop doing that.

9 on each foot is for the moves pattern, in which you only do 1/2 a length on each foot.

The new rulebooks will be correct, they'll have all the new stuff in them.

Don't worry! You'll get the 2005-2006 USFSA rulebook, not the one before...
