Stop over rotating

All my doubles (loop, toe, loop, flip, lutz) are over rotated about a quarter to a half turn. This began happening when I started working on my double axel.

I open up as wide as I can but I still over rotate.

Does anyone have any tips on stopping the rotation?

Thanks!

I don't have the same issue as you. Most people under-rotate, but I know of a friend who over-rotated her axel when she was learning it, making it almost two revolutions. It didn't affect her other jumps. However, she said she has the tendency to over rotate.

Most skaters under rotate though.

I wish you luck in solving your issue!

Gfskater, what does your coach say about it?

Without seeing exactly what you're doing, my suggestion would be focus less on the rotation and more on the height. That would slow down your rotation a bit but also give you those nice, huge doubles. When people start working on axels and doubles, so much focus goes into ROTATE ROTATE ROTATE that they lose some height.
