Altrincham Ice Rink

Just thought you'd be glad to know that Altrincham rink is now open for patch & public skating.

Times and prices are here: http://www.silver-blades.co.uk/altrincham/publicskating

PDF booklet to download:

At last! They've been putting it off and putting it off and putting it off, so I'm delighted to hear it's now open.

Patch Use?

Does anyone now skate at Altrincham or has used the patch ice there at anypoint?

I have realised that, depending on what schools I get placed in next year, it might actually be easier to get to Altrincham before and after work.

So was wondering if anyone could let me know what the system for patch ice use there is? Do you need to be taking lessons from one of the coaches, Do you pay at reception/the coaches or do they have a ticket system in place?

Thank you .

You just pay patch to whoever is collecting money on the day. It's £3.70, if I'm not mistaken.
