figure skating attire by sharene

Has anyone ever bought this dress (or a dress from Sharene's range)? I'd like to know whether the given sizes are generally accurate, if the photo represents the actual dress colour properly, and any info you can give me before I decide to purchase the dress. Thanks

I have lots of dresses by them no photo is dead on but it is close. There dresses are cut for those who like skirts a little higher, but the generally do fit. I am a size 6 and I wear an adult medium, girth of around 60-61.

I got a dress from them last year and it is very comfortable. The sizing is accurate. I requested the skirt to be 2 inches longer in the back to cover my asset and it worked perfect. I also put the hot-fix stones on myself because it was cheaper and I like to control where the stones go and how many to put on.

I got a Sharene dress from discount skatewear about a year ago and I hated it. I followed the sizing chart but it was still so small I could hardly get it on. Also it looked NOTHING like the picture and the colors were way off. However, at a competiton last August, Sharene had a big display of dresses and I got one that I like a lot better. It really helps when you can try it on. I recognized some of the dresses they had from the website though and they looked really different up close.

I found the sizing to be a little small, but not so bad that I had to toss the dress. It was about as snug as I could stand. The skirts are definitely on the short side, so you might want to consider asking for an extra couple of inches all around.

I've had good and bad experiences with them. One custom dress I had from them was made terribly - seams crooked, skirt different lengths on each side, fabric not cut correctly, etc. The other dress was wonderful, no problems at all. The dresses definitely are on the small end of the scale for the size, but ordering up one size is usually sufficient.

At the risk of humilating myself, especially since skaternum is on here replying to this thread too. (And we know how much I HATE wearing skating dresses and skirts!!! )

Starting Pose
Spiral
Sit Spin
Loop Landing
Ending Pose

I got an Adult Medium b/c my torso was right at 60 in. and I didn't want the wedgie thing. Other than that, my dress was pretty much off the rack. Of course, now looking at some of the photos, I probably should have asked for a couple of inches longer on the skirt too... (But lucky enough on my recent weight loss that I still can carry the look...)
