Axel in FS6

Hello!

I have a question. Do you need to land the axel in order to get the FS6 badge? I am talking about the USFSA program. Thanks!

The basic skills coaches book I have says that the axel does not need to be landed but that a student should have an understanding of the mechanics and the ability to do a walk through of the axel.

Jessi is correct. The axel doesn't have to be landed until the Juvenile free test. (Although, of course, skaters compete with axels well before that level.)
