ISI Couple vs. Pair????

Could someone who coaches ISI please explain the difference between the two: Couple and Pair? I can't tell what the specific difference is. None of their specific elements match up level-for-level.

I believe couple can be same sex, while pair is not.

Couple is also more like side by side freestyle, where pair has pairs elements to it.
