Just for fun....what colour are you guards?

Got new guards as a gift this weekend, and I'd REALLY been needing them! They are pink with sparkles. Not usually my style, but I like them!

1/2 of mine are dark purple (kind of eggplant) and the other 1/2 is a mother-of-pearly white.

My current ones are red -- those were the only ones available at my sharpener's shop. I left my favorite pearly sky blue ones last summer at the rink in Aspen.

Neon pink because they are easier to spot and harder to forget!

I have pretty pale pink. No one has the same guards and I can always pick them out.

That is -- IF I remember to find them. I think I have also bought more guards than most people...

Mine are an alarming shade which is supposed to be red but verges on the fluorescent orange worn by hunters in the forest. My mom got them for me knowing red is my favorite color--the color is less horrifying on the Internet, where she ordered them. Unfortunately I am too careful of my things and can't manage to lose or break them so I can justify buying a different pair.

A very nice purple, almost metallic.

The twins have mix-and-match green and blue because they couldn't decide who should get blue and who should get green.

My current pair is neon pink... came out of the lost & found after someone walked off with my previous pair which were Turquoise. that also came out of the L&F, after my previous pair (to the turquoise) of neon pink guards were nicked.

hot pink and white, a pair plucked from a lost and found bin after someone stole my dark blue/silver blue pair while I was out on the ice. They're getting rather cruddy and it's near time to replace them.

Straight white guards. They look nice with the black boots. Never really use them though and they'll probably look dirty sooner than other shades. Anyone have a method for cleaning guards short of using sandpaper?

Black & Blue... 1) because they were the colors of our synchro team.. but 2) now they remind me that's what color my hips/elbows/other various body parts will be if I don't remember to take off the guards before getting on the ice. (So far.. so good... hope that holds! )

One of the guys on our team was given fluorescent/neon/hot pink after he managed to get on the ice three weeks in a row with his guards on (he said it was because he was running late and just didn't check) -- but the team member who gave them to him said he would never be able to use that excuse again.. since he and EVERYONE else on the team could see those pink guards long before he was close to the ice!
