ISI freestyle 3 dance sequence

Hi guys

I know that ISI freestyle level 3 have a 9 step dance sequence. Does anybody know what they are?

I do know the 10 step ISI level 2 dance sequence.

This is a good find - here are the ISI Freestyle Dance Step Sequence Test Standards videos ONLINE! While skating needs no words, the narrator switches between English and another language. The rink's pretty, too!

(NB: These are not up to date; the Freestyle 6/7/8 patterns are not labeled correctly. See the 2004 Rulebook Revisions, below.)

IIRC this is almost exactly the same as the USFS 8-step mohawk, except step 8 is just a backward push so step 9 is the forward step- meaning you would be starting the pattern on the other foot, rather than continuing in the circle.

Left forward push, cross right, left push, outside mohawk, left backpush, right back push, left back push, right back cross, left step forward. I THINK.

Let me watch the video and check.
Okay I think the video does:
1. Left forward push
2. Right forward cross
3. Left forward push
4. Outside mohawk (step with right foot backwards)
5. back push left
6. back push right
7. back cross left
8. back push right
9. step forward left

then for step 1 do a right forward push and repeat the above in the other direction

Make sure your players are up-to-date (I had to install a windows media player plug-in for firefox, then I was able to watch the videos).

Those last few steps are significantly different. After the first outside mohawk, it's LBI, RBO, LBI XF and then RBO-LFO outside mohawk--whereas the USFS sequence ends with an inside mohawk. Important to emphasize those EDGES rather than just generic pushes on flats.

Since the pattern moved in a circle, I assumed it would be understood that the push would be on the edge that took you around the circle, rather than having to think out which edge each foot is on

Although I understand your point that the last steps are signifigantly different- I still think this is essentially "8 step mohawk, turn the other way to start new pattern" - that might not be a helpful way for OTHER people to think about it though.
