Deborah Burgoyne (Wyandotte) Competition

Hi all! Got back last night from the Wyandotte competition. My event was relatively early in the day Saturday, and I have a lot to do back home, so I left yesterday around 3:30 and drove home. Just wanted to say thanks to all those who gave me kind words or support, and it was nice to finally meet some of the posters here in person. There are some people who came up to me to say something but sadly I couldn't remember their names so I apologize for that! I'm still pissed I missed my 2sal, but overall I thought I did okay. Thanks to the organizers who ran a nice event and congrats to all the skaters!

Thanks for posting the link, NoVa. Looks like fun -- and there were 5 pairs teams! Cool!

manleywoman, one of them was me!

I had a great time, and we won interp pairs. I sacrificed beauty for art...

Mel - the picture is adorable. Does he turn into a Prince during the routine?
Congrats!

I also like the silver-haired woman in the stands. She looks like she's chaperoning, or maybe she's the (not so) Evil Step-Mother?

I remembered which one was you! There was a nice girl in purple fleece who came up to me and she was so sweet, and I had to ask someone later what her name was. I got her first name but not her last, and I just felt so badly because she knew me!

It was great seeing everyone on Saturday! I think I'm still on a bit of a high from my 2 performances

The rink looks fantastic! It's so much brighter now and there's a ton more room to move around. The temperature was nice, too, since the rinks I usually skate at are like meat lockers!
