Congrats to her, Tania!!!!

BTW, glad to know I'm not the only one with a BD (who's not skating this summer -- for the first time in 10 years!)

Congratulations to her!!! [img:a0e7fb5d76]http://216.40.241.68/kao/otn/blobflower.gif[/img:a0e7fb5d76] Is she old enough for champagne? I hope your have celebrated in whatever your family tradition is (we used to send out for pizza before our girl was old enough to drink, officially). And when will Mum - sorry, Mom - be passing a test?

Thanks for the good wishes. Alas, no champagne, the young lady is only 14, but we did go out to eat last night to celebrate. We are leaving for the UK on Thursday, so the celebrations will continue!!!

Mum won't be passing a test anytime soon...

So will you be coming to skate (you or daughter) with any of us? You know we all love welcoming visitors at our various rinks!

You're in the wrong country, Melanie - it's simply glorious here. Almost [i:aa23c6c522]too[/i:aa23c6c522] hot, in fact.....

mrs redboots,

I think we'll be leaving the skates at home this time.

The weather here is hot, hazy and humid. Humidex has the temps into the mid 40's. Do you really want it?

After a week in London, we're doing a cruise around the Isles melanie, so I'll try to leave some of our hot weather in Scotland...LOL...

Tania

Tania - it's been raining here for 3 days....lots of rain. Temp about 14C.

We've had loads of flooding (my rink shut for 6 months last time the river Leith burst its banks at Roseburn and flooded the rink) in West Lothian, with police warnings not to go driving in it.

So can you bring a little breeze to go with your warmth and sunshine?
I'm off to another country tomorrow (England) where the weather is (usually) always better than here.
