Well the announcement just came out. We will be using CPC scoring and semi open marking for the first time at Adult Canadians.

We also have to fill out a planned program content sheet for our freeskate programs and/or freedance programs. I'm not even done getting my freeskate put together. I have until Feb. 27 to get the registration, planned program content sheet and any testing request sheets sent in. Now I really have a made dash to get my programs done. Actually, I compete next Friday at WOS Boston Pizza. Only half of my freeskate and 2 thirds of my interpretive are finished. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK, now is all the other Canadian skaters' turn to freak out.

Singerskates Sports Music Editing

Well thanks S.S. but I already started freaking out over there (http://www.skatingforums.com/showthr...=22813&page=2). Since this will be my FIRST EVER competition, I guess I have enough freak-out-ed-ness for multiple threads (even if it is only a Pre-Intro Interpretive)

Skated my program for my coach this morning - she clapped and hollered "EXCELLENT" She reviewed my entry (which I filled out yesterday) and said "Send it!" so mine is on its way to Ottawa today and I'm on my way to Calgary in 5 weeks.

You're not doing the Bronze freeskate, right? I guess that's why you can send yours in so early. I can't because well, I'm not done choreographing my freeskate. This time around (I don't know about 2006. I did 2004 and 2005.) those of us competing in freeskate events (also those competing in pairs and/or freedance) have to fill out the Planned Program Content sheet to be sent in with our registration. So that means I'm hustling to get my freeskate choreographed. I also have to get my interpretive done too. Oh, and that's not all. I compete this Friday. Help!!!!!

It all goes back to the fall where I got majorly distracted by working on the Club Christmas Show and didn't have time to work on my own freeskate at least. I worked on my show number, choreographed some StarSkater numbers for the show and also spent my own ice time program assisting (coaching without getting paid) for kids that should have been on CanSkate and not on the StarSkate session. But then again, with most of the kids of which I did work, they were able to get through at least the first 3 levels with in a month and then the parents’ hire a private coach. I also spent lots of time trying to get our sound system to work during my ice time. It seems that the kids who run the rink at night kept blowing the fuses which allow us to play our music through their speakers.

I've also lost ice time to bad scheduling of ice maintenance and improper ice maintenance. Let's say it wasn't the guy who does our ice on Thursdays who messed up the ice because his ice is wonderful. But I lost two days in a row just two weeks ago. Ice time that I really needed to get my programs done so I could actually skate full run throughs to get use the flow of the programs.

singerskates I don't know if its different for Adult Nationals but for competitions where my daughter has needed to send in a planned program content sheet you ARE allowed to bring an updated one with you to registration.

ROFL!!! Good lord NO! I am going out on the ice and try not to fall on my face for a whole 2 minutes! I have yet to INTENTIONALLY leave the ice with both feet at the same time!

Pre-Introductory Interpretive, that's all.

it really means nothing though. Its an idea for the tech rep to know when something is coming up. You can change the whole thing on the fly if you so desire

I know last year, for the Mountain Cup, Husband's programme wasn't ready by registration time, so I e-mailed the organiser and said when's the last possible date to send the PPC in, do you absolutely have to have it with the registrations, and she replied that it would be fine 2 weeks in advance, but she would like to have it, if at all possible, as it made life easier for the technical specialist. But it really only is guidelines, not set in stone - we send in a list of what we plan to do, but it doesn't necessarily happen like that on the day!

Misery loves company! My coach said we will start backing off at the beginning of March - god I hope there's something LEFT by then - LOL!

P.S. On a run-through Wednesday, my program drew applause from the head coach (who shouldn't have made ANY comment) - that's encouraging
