I think that as long as there are skaters and skates, there will always be discussion about skates and blades. It's really the only equipment that we have control of (the other necessary piece of equipment being the ice, which we have no control of) and we will continue to discuss and obsess.

I have heard bad things about Harlick.

I know people who HATE their Klingbeils.

I know people who hate their Teris.

I know people who loved their old Reidells and hate their new ones.

It just goes on and on.

We are obsessed.

We are skaters.

I'm no poet.

I hate my Grafs! LOL

Well, you know what they say about the grass always being greener in the neighbor's yard (yeah yeah, I know it's technically "on the other side of the fence", but my ex-roomate had to say it this way to make it make sense to the Yemeni people he was talking to who don't have fences and I found it cuter that way ).

I beg to differ!

Okay, I'll edit this to add your line:

I have heard bad things about Harlick.

I know people who HATE their Klingbeils.

I know people who hate their Teris.

I know people who loved their old Reidells and hate their new ones.

And Casey, especially, hates his Grafs.

It just goes on and on.

We are obsessed.

We are skaters.

I'm no poet.

Surely his Grafs? Gams are fine (although I've known skaters who swear at them), me and husband swear by them!

Arrgghh -- yes, the Grafs -- I changed it, but this whole boot thing is just swirling around in my brain -- for every boot I think there is someone who doesn't like them!!

But of course - we all have very different feet! It's a good thing there isn't a monopoly of boots - and no longer a monopoly of blades, either, since what suits one won't suit another, and vice versa.
