Program music?

Ok, I was looking for "free music downloads" and found out none of them are free - some are CHEAP but I am not about to give out my credit card information for 10 cents and I don't feel like paying $20 a month either!

Has anybody found any sources or is it "off to the record store"?

Sometimes I buy stuff from I-tunes or Walmart. I haven't had a problem, they usually charge .88 or .99/song.

If you are savvy, you can record stuff off of internet radio and cut it. Or go to the store and buy soundtracks (or online, Amazon has good prices and I can find stuff that isn't available here).

Is there anything in particular you are interested in?

I recommend iTunes. I've downloaded some of the music I've used from it, and it's only $0.99 a song, and they have a free download every week. You don't need an iPod, either, or a Mac. You can download a song and burn it to a CD instead, and make something like 10 copies if you wanted, of that original song.

Amazon has a free music download section here. It's limited, and not always by original artists, but there are some good movie soundtracks which might do for a programme.

If I just want one track, or even a CD, I can usually download it for pennies from my local supermarket's site, where I have an account anyway.

iTunes is GREAT! I looked at what is available and signed up. For the cost of 1 CD, I have access to SO MANY pieces of music and have already downloaded a few that have potential - including my program music from 1968! I just might go into a time warp and see if I can remember the choreography for that program and pick up where I left off

Thanks everybody!
