Well, my singles program is always new in the sense that my coach and I change it at least once a month. and AND
But now, it has new music to go with it. I wonder, just wonder, when I'll get the chance to compete with this new music. Hmmm...

Um, reading is fundamental, Timmy.

I meant that since Angelo has formally withdrawn, then I can *officially* follow his lead and withdraw from my singles event. But don't tell Terri C, she might start a campaign or something.

Sergei has nothing to do with my music, obviously He just goes along for the ride. I present him my 75% done programs and tweeks it here and there and helps me out on the technical side.

My thing is ,there are so many good music pieces out there and I don't want to waste a whole season skating to one piece of music. I've done that in the past when I was a teen (USFSA standard track), now I am doing the adult ranks and have this much freedom, it is fun to experiment.

Yeh I am trying other ends of it, really, that is why I have Evita within my choices, and I am listening to more music tonight.

I am just thinking about the competition and I want to make a really good impression in front of all my competitors and the audience. Especially some of them witnessed my Peach disaster, which I am so over with.

So, "The Feeling Begins" has been relegated to 'the feeling ends'?
Oh, I am *certain* you'll make some type of impression.

Is Angelo still gunning for sectionals?

I know you want to skate to Kwan's program too. You Mr. Strike a pose-on-the-ice and improv while the music is playing! Nova's itching to do so

No, that's only done to imitate and annoy you.

I like more of the jazz/blues/techno variety for singles and classical/soundtrack for pairs.

I'm still waiting for your "East of Eden" debut. ...

Heheh- Tim, I hope you're kidding when you call Steven a "little bi*ch." I'm going to be doing a Michelle Kwan (bad) imitation, "Fields of Gold Program" for Adult Interp. Hope it is at least entertaining; I still need to get a better edit of the music to fit the time constraints.

I think he should give his program a try!!! Seriously, Stephen... think of it as another practice runthrough...and you'll have a nice cheering section to boot!!! What more could you ask for?

Um, this singles program has already been performed no less than 7 times. It needs more spirit, not more runthroughs. It's the presentation and character of the program that needs to be addressed, not the landing of the jumps, execution of spins, or endurance training.

Anyway, my attention lies squarely with the pairs program ... especially after the 4 program adjustments this morning!

Come on, NoVa!! Treat those of us not going to AN to your singles program - spins, jazz hands, and all!

You could try out a new presentation/character angle and see how it goes over!

No less that 7 times... well it should be on autopilot by now!

The presentation and character of the program...
Dude, please- you can and have presented your a#$ off before! And to think of it how much more will scratching prepare you for AN and other upcoming events??

You would think that, right? But it's not. The program just doesn't feel right.

Um, I think that was in an adult improv event (that for some strange reaso nI decided to enter--I had never done one before or had ever really been interested in that type of event). I hope I've not presented my a-- off in my singles program. That would NOT be in line with the music! And the thought of even doing crossovers (see sig line!) in this program makes me cringe.

Well, I'm using the 2 events after New Year's to prepare for Nationals. In those events, I won't be competing in pairs. I was hoping to do an actual singles program runthrough this Sunday morning. But I see that this area is in store for some more winter weather on Sat. night into Sunday. Ugh.

"Treat" is not the word I would use to describe to anyone who has to sit thru my program as I muddle and smirk my way thru it. Sadly, there are no more "jazz hands" moments. Heck, not even any "spirit fingers."

And I think the angle would have to be "lobotimized." As a judge told me (and as Loops has indirectly verified), "You look like you are thinking WAY too much out there." Um, sorry, I'm an analytical thinker. Can't shut that off.

That said, I do like the idea of a new "character angle." That would surely add some zest and vibrancy to the program. Off to the Bat-Cave to regroup!

I don't care what it feels like, or doesn't feel like - you're going to skate it, right? So what if you land every jump on your bum and finish last - the important thing is to be out there, skating!
