We are leaving for Lake Placid on Saturday for two whole weeks. Could not come at a better time since I am recovering from Lyme disease and a little R&R is just what the doctor ordered.

I am skating both weeks. the first week my club has ice in the late afternoon/early evening so I can get back in shape for....

adult skate week in week 2....This year we are going to hunt for the elusive jumps..like the half-flip, salchow, and toeloop. They are there, I just have to sneak up on them so i won't scare 'em.

figureskates: You might want to try offering some chocolates and flowers to those jumps--that always tames the savage beast!!! (I'm thinking of taking my left forward inside 3 turn out to dinner and getting it drunk so I can take advantage of it...) Make sure your boots don't "squeak while you sneak..."
