I landed my 1st double sal!

Yesterday I landed 3 double sals (1/4 cheated) for the first time ever. I've only been working on them for about 2 weeks!

Congratulations. I remember landing my first double salchow - I was so excited that I did the jump again and again and again... I was training at another rink and there was nobody there to see it (it was my little secret for a few days). I always loved the feel of the double salchow - it's such a fluid and smooth jump. Keep working hard, before long you will be landing the double toe

Ha I am so dreading learning the 2toe. Toe loops are evil! hehe I will probably get a 2flip or 2loop before the toe!

Hehe thanks. Maybe I'll have it to show to you if I compete in San Francisco again this year.

You show me your double sal and I'll show my flips (okay, maybe not necessarily in competition, but maybe a practice session?)

Primary coach doesn't know that I'm landing more flips than loops these days. Shhhh.....

I totally agree with you on this. My toe loop is still a toe waltz, my coach keeps trying to fix it but I keep going back to old habits.

Well I hope that my 2sal will be in a program by October but who knows. Maybe I'll just show it to you on a practice session as well. And hopefully (if I get to compete in San Francisco again) I will skate better than last year! Bleh. That sucked majorly.
