coach's accident

I've just heard my coach had had a serious accident and is hospitalised with serious burns. I am devastated for him and his family and hope he makes a speedy recovery.

Some of the UK skaters may know him - Alex from Bracknell.

I hope to get an address to send cards etc and will let people know if I get one and can forward to anyone who pm's me.

Please send any positive vibes his way.

Ouch - burns are a miserable thing to recover from. Best wishes, positive vibes and prayers for a recovery that's as speedy and as comfortable as possible.

I heard that Alex was out of action due to some sort of emergency. I will miss him and his funny sense of humour and I really do hope he makes a full recovery and is back on the ice teasing me really soon.

Not nice; poor Alex. I am not sure I know him, but I know of him, and that is not something I'd wish on anybody (having suffered a serious burn myself a couple of years ago, I know how thoroughly nasty they are).

I think it's probably too early to tell as yet. Only a few details have been released.

As Nicki said, things won't be the same at the rink without his random comments!

I sincerely hope that his treatment is successful, and we see him back at Bracknell in due course.

That's awful news: my thoughts are with Alex and his family. Keeping my fingers crossed that he makes a full and speedy recovery.

Latest news is that Alex is now awake and off the danger list. Doctors are hopeful of full recovery but will obviously take some time.

Thank goodness! But I'm sure this is just the 'beginning' of his recovery. Again, good vibes and wishes being sent to him and his family.
