Progress of year-round skating rink in Asheville?

Today I read that there is talk of a year-round rink coming to Asheville! There's already a skating club but their seasonal skating this year was limited to something like 2 weeks

I loooove Asheville....

But I won't move anywhere that doesn't have TWO year-round rinks so I guess either way it's out.

Curious to know if anyone knows anything about it though.

Asheville, Where? State and Country would be helpful.

Asheville, North Carolina, USA!

We were just talking about this earlier today. I can't move any further from the beach - I'm already at my distance limit, lol.

(Although I am closer to DisneyWorld now)

Oh I know, I thought of that last night. I'm really at my beach driving limit too. Way past it actually but I'm trying to get over it...

Wilmington has a rink but I'd need them to have two for me to move there

Rink in Asheville?

I went to college in Asheville - the closest rink was in Spruce Pine, NC - about an hour away. I can't find that it still exists though. Rinks in the Mtns are few & far between. It's a shame! With all the tourism & skiing, it'd be a nice addition.

Add me to those who are hoping for one!

You know what - I missed the fact that the information I saw was posted in 2003...

...apparently the skating club is defunct.
