What is the first double you learned?

When you're satisfied with your singles, what is the first double you learn after that? What is the easiest double for you?

I believe many skaters learn the double Salchow more or less simultaneously with their axels; others, I'm told, learn the double toe first.

I learned axel, double toe and sal all at the same time. They're all pretty much the same jump, more or less:]

After singles I started on an axel - didn't like it, so went onto double sals and love them. With pairs worked on throw axel, throw double sal and throw loop and a split double twist.

I started working on 2sal first. I also landed it first but it was VERY cheated (wasn't even rotating backwards in the air). The first one I landed cleanly was 2flip followed shortly by 2lutz...the others were several months behind.

I started on 2sal before I even attempted the axel! I then worked more on 2sal and 2toe together with one coach but 2loop with my first coach as that was the 'nearest' and most comfortable for me (you're right, the 2toe IS evil ). I also like the 2flip, again it feels more comfortable than the 2toe and 2sal.

Crikey, hope that makes sense ..... Waffley Waffle from Waffle in Waffle land!

I learned 2 loops first. I had just got my axels, and was playing with doubles, and out of the blue, I landed 2 loops. They didn't stay long though. I next worked on 2 sals, and got them after a few months, and then got the 2 loop back. 2 toes are evil and I've only ever done a few of them.

I learned the double salchow, then the toe , then the loop, the flip and then the lutz. Many people at my club learned to do the loop first.

Double toe loop was the first double I landed, and the only one I've ever landed consistently. I know many people hate double toes, but I love them. They just "make sense" to me. It wasn't until several years later that I finally landed a double salchow, and that was after having started it way before double toe. Double sals are few and far between for me, and most of the time I still don't really understand how on earth I'm supposed to get my body into the air and rotate.

I got my double sal first (still not consistent). I was scared! I'm working on double toe, but it is way less scary than double sal.

I gpt my 2 sal first (it's finally consistent 9/10 times) and then a couple months ago landed my first 2 toe (finally getting consistent where I can land 75% of the time). Haven't competed successfully with it yet, but it's coming. Now working on 2 loop, 2 flip, and 2 lutz. Coach says close on the loop, the other two will require some serious work.

large double-double

The only thing I know about doubles is my coach's coffee order.

My coach had me try a 2loop one day and i fully rotated it on the 1st try and worked on it a little after that... months later we started working on it again and i've landed a handful of "good" ones. I've started working on axel and d sal, and decided that they'll take me MUCH longer to learn!
