can anyone help re: capezio tights

I am looking to find a pair of these from somewhere...

Basically they are over the boot tights but they are really really thick lycra, more like pants than tights. I checked out Capezio's website but couldn't find them, and there's very few places in Australia that stock Capezio stuff, so I'm hoping you fab lot might know of places that sell them?!

I actually need them to be childrens size, so they may not even exist, but I am going to do my darndest to try and find out!

Thanks in advance everyone!

Have you tried googling the model number along with the name "capezio"?

It should be on the paper tag or on the inside label. It's usually a four digit number.

I don't own this pair they are from eBay and the seller has not responded to my questions, hence why I'm looking around for other sources

If you can't find this by Capezio, then Mondor has some very similar tights. They are thicker than regular lycra/spandex tights. I have the kind that are footless but not over the boot (model number might be 3364, but I could be wrong...), but I think Mondor also has OTB tights in that thicker material. I've also seen these by Danskin; not sure of the model number.

Capezio is not making skating related stuff anymore. What you're seeing on eBay is definitely closeout stock. I've never seen Capezio tights like that in the 4 years I've worked at a pro shop.

If you're going for warmth and OTB tights, you would have better luck going with Mondor.

3372 -- Heavy weight OTB, velcro straps with a sheen
3396 -- Heavy weight OTB, velcro straps with a matte finish

The velcro straps are soon to be replaced by the buckle like on the Evolution tights.

Oh no!!!! My lovely Capezio over-boot tights were so much nicer than the Danskin ones I had before. What a bummer. I am totally not pleased!

If you liked the Capezio, you will like the Mondor Evolution OTB. They're really silky feeling. The Danksin are Supplex so they have a thicker feel to them.

These are two companies listed on the Mondor website ... maybe you would be able to order from them as I see that neither is anywhere near London.
SKATING WORLD 26 GREEN LANE, DRONFIELD, SHEFFIELD, ENGLAND EURO, S182LZ

SPECIALIST SKATING SERVIC 40, WELLINGTON ROAD, BLACKBURN - BB22NQUK, LANCASHIRE,ENGLAND, EURO, BB22NQ

Mondor is a Canadian company.

Just when I find something that would do us well, they are gone before they have even begun...

Ok then next question Summerkid710, do you or anyone else know which stores that might sell these Mondor tights online will ship to Australia??

Thanks. I expect I can get them on-line, or usually at competitions....

NOOOOOOOOOOOO! I don't like the color of Mondor. Their suntan has a purplish tint I don't like. I always wore them under my Capezio over the boot so the color wouldn't show. Pout. And I don't like the feel of Danskin. That makes me sad.

Capezio is still doing footed tights and footless. They are your regular dance tights even though they called the 1814 Footed Tight a "skating tight". I just don't think they are making over the boot anymore. Maybe that's changed. I haven't gotten my 2007 Capezio Catalog yet but it was my understanding that Capezio was done with skating.

Also, I always thought Capezio tights make you look orange.

As for colors, Mondor does have a new Light Suntan as well as Brown for skaters of color.

Danskin's OTB are made of Supplex which is why they feel different.
