New Years Adult Comp: Roll Call

So what events are you doing? I want to make notes in my schedule so I don't miss anybody.

I'm doing Silver II freeskate on Saturday.

Well I had planned on Silver I FS, CM, Spins and Moves but now it looks like I'm having a problem with tendonitis and I'll probably have to attend as a spectator. I'm hoping to try to at least do the events which don't require jumping (naturally this is on my landing foot ) but it doesn't look good.

Thanks Dani

Sadly it's official - Doc says I have tendonitis and I have to stay off the ice. I will be there to cheer everyone on though!

Yeah, we might be in for some snow on Sunday, too.

We're staying at the Hampton.

That's where I'm booked - I booked back at the end of November!
By the way, next weekend's weather forecast looks a little better- not as cold as was earlier predicted.
Never mind the fact that it's snowing like @#$% in VB right now- -no club ice for me tonight

Ditto. We got 3+ inches of snow late yesterday, followed by about 4 hours of freezing rain. So I'm stuck at home today too -- no skating for me. Nothing like forced laziness right before a competition. (And don't even get me started on the PMS that's accompanying it. By the time I get up to DC at the end of the week, I ought to be as big as a barn. Grrr.)

I hear ya about the forced laziness. This was not a good time for this winter storm to happen. Thankfully I got to the gym and worked on stamina this weekend, but I still need ice time and I don't know if I'll get enough for the competition.

Roll call: Gold/Masters FS (combined for the men); Gold Spins (unisex); staying at home, about 45 minutes away.

I got in 45 minutes on a crowded session yesterday and made it to the gym also. But I'm skating tonight regardless of the weather!

Hooray for me- I got to skate today!

IIRC, quite a few kids who competed in South Atlantics had to deal with forced laziness three weeks before the competition, thanks to Isabel! I heard that Laurel was closed for a week after the storm!
Here, we were the only rink running then with one surface instead of the two we were used to!
Overall, I'll be happy when I get up there on Friday!

If all else fail and you can't get to the gym/rink due to the snow, jump rope in your living room!

Wish I were going to this one, but i just couldn't do it. Good luck to all, and I hope to hear reports!
