What time do you get up to skate?

Ok. I hope I'm not getting too pesonal here. As this thread is a follow-up to Abbigals last thread. She asked about how early morning skaters cope with getting up early. Now please tell me what time you DO get up to skate?

4 am - On Mondays and Fridays I leave the house at about 5:20 - on Wednesdays 5:10. Earlier when there's "weather" It doesn't take me that long to get ready, but I like to drink my coffee and read skatingforums before I go.

Gawd! I feel lazy here... on the days that I skate FS in the mornings -- 6:30am to be on the ice by 7:45am (and am often late for this b/c of rush hour traffic too!!! )

And on top of that, I'm often "sleep skating" too!!!

On weekends (like today!) I sleep in 'til at least 10am..often 'til 11am!!!

5:00 a.m. and really I have to force myself to do that every day, or else I can't do it on the days I skate ... I don't like it! And I still can't manage to get to the rink before 7 a.m.!! But I cannot handle getting up before 5, or at least I think I can't...

For early morning skates, 5.30am, and on the ice before 7am. On later sessions I'm up for 6am and then either at work or the rink for 7.45am. I still prefer skating on the 8pm session as that's way more civilised as long as there's not an early skate planned for the following morning.

The alarm goes off at 5:45 am, but Husband uses the bathroom first, so I often don't get out of bed much before about 06:10! That's on skating mornings, except Sundays which is 06:00 as he doesn't have to faff around making his lunch and doing goodness-knows-what on-line before we go!

We get up at 4am and I hate it with a passion.

I don't ever skate well that early, so lately I've been putting the kids ont he ice for their lesson and going to the glassed-in workout room upstairs to watch while I use the exercise equipment.

To add insult to injury, I teach the same evening, so we're back at the rink by 4:45pm. After a freestyle, a group lesson, and an off-ice workout, we get home that night at 7:30pm. I gave up trying to fit in meals at home so now we just stop for fast food on the way home.

I really love reading this thread. From time to time, when I am really tired because I couldn't get myself to bed early enough, I get into the mood of feeling sorry for myself about how hard the life is... but after reading this thread I can see that there are people who are much worse off in terms of getting up. I think I will find it easier tomorrow morning. Just remember that Scarlett gets up at 4.30am, jskater49 and Isk8NYC at 4am and TreSk8sAZ between 3.30 and 5am, and then my 5am seems like a sleep in.

I only skate one morning a week and it's at 10am, so I don't get up until 8:30. I skate mostly nights and afternoons on weekends. I wouldn't skate if I had to get up at 5am.
