Anybody have any news about this competition held in Rochester. Unseen Skaters Message Board is down so any information submitted there is inaccessible.

It would be wonderful to get some news.

Thank you.

2. Stephanie Zastrow - 3loop/2loop, 2axel (step out), 2flip, layback, gorgeous spirals, footwork, nice spins.

3.2-3.5

Junior Ladies Free Skate -
Sorry, I didn't take notes for this one, but I got results from the top 3 -

1. Stephanie Zastrow (Nessun Dorma) - Wonderful skate. Landed 2 triples - 3sal and 3toe.

2. Jill Asby (Spartacus) Had a hard skate. Fell on her triple toe, and got a deduction for taking an extra turn into her double axel. She looked very tired throughout her program.

3. Brianna McLuen

Senior Ladies Short -

(I lost my notes! Sorry)

1. Angie Lien - 1lutz(supposed to be in combination) 3toe, 2axel

2. Kristen Sheaffer - 3flip/turn/2toe, 2axel(struggle on landing), 3toe

3. Stephie Smith - 3sal/turn/2toe, 3toe, 2axel

4. Dana Peterson
5. Brittany Proctor
6. Jessica Horner
7. Sara Medek
8. Alesia Riker

I did not see the long program unfortunetly.

I did see some more events that I will hopefully post later.

Thanks so much, G Man. The Minnesota Skating Scene has been so quiet this summer, it makes me wonder what's going on. Sounds as if the top skaters were at State though and looking pretty good going into Uppers. Lien, Shaeffer & Smith are full of talent and in the top tier of skaters when consistency holds. In juniors, Zastrow and Asby appear to be Minnesota's double threat for Uppers.

Any surprises at the lower levels?

Again, we all appreciate your time in sharing results.

No problem! I'm glad to do it:)

For some reason Eliot Halverson & Rhianna ? (I forget her last name, but she did win the silver at last years Nats. in the Juvenile level) didn't compete. I asked Alex Johnson, and he didn't really know why, but I don't think it's an injury.

Rohene Ward was coaching here, but not competing. There was no Senior Men Championships. But he will be at Uppers I believe.

Ryan Yearous I believe is now going to the University of Montana, so he didn't compete here, but I did see him watching the event.

Paul Wood won Novice Men. There were only 2 guys competing. The other guy was named John Smaluska I think. Paul didn't attempt any triples here, but maybe he was just saving himself for the upcoming year.

I was one of 3 guys in the Juvenile Mens. I skated really bad, but all in all I landed 5 doubles, and that was enough to place me 1st so that was exciting!

Hopefully full results will be up soon at http://www.web-site.com/rfsc

Eliot won Intermediate Men at the DuPage Open last week, and Rhiana Brammeier was 2nd in the Intermediate Ladies Final, so maybe they decided not to compete in back-to-back weeks?

Thanks a lot for the info, G MAN, and congrats! :)

G Man -- Again, my thanks for additional info, especially on Rhianna and Eliot. For some reason, I can't seem to get onto the results page for Minnesota State. Since you didn't mention her in the results, I was wondering if last year's Upper's junior ladies Champ, Kristina Olson, competed. If so, did she move up or is she staying Junior? She hasn't competed in any other competitions that I've checked this summer, so I'm wondering if she has quit skating.

Kristina Olson wasn't listed in the results for Junior or Senior at MN State (it doesn't show withdrawals).

Thanks Sylvia:)

And you're definitely welcome Mile129!!

Kristina Olson was scheduled to skate in the Junior Ladies event but did not compete. I have no idea why though.
