2003 Ice Wars information

From the Pepsi Arena website in Albany, NY (where the event is taking place this year:

Sounds like a pretty good lineup...although I think "North America vs. the former Soviet Union" would be a more appropriate name this year! ;)

It'll also be exciting to see S&P and B&S competing in the same event since the Olympics, but I only hope the inevitable hype/SLC rehash won't overshadow the other skaters at the event (or result in any of them getting chacked!) but I'm just grateful CBS will broadcast Ice Wars instead of NBC! ;)

Hmmm.....they've changed it to North America instead of the US now. Brian and Kurt on the same team. That will seem odd after all these years! I guess they couldn't find enough US skaters who wanted to participate to make up a team.

Sounds pretty threadbare to me - only 1 ladies skater on each team? professional skating is dying a slow, painful death isn't it?
