You must have all the subs listed too, because there are too many teams from some countries. Where did you find the list? I haven't come across it anywhere.

I would guess Russia is planning to enter a team or two also but hasn't named anyone yet?

Without any Russian entries it looks to me like Matthews & Zavozin might be able to win this one. (With Russians, I'd still consider second or third a very reasonable goal.) Should be a strong start to their season!

this is a seriously incomplete list of competitors.
canada has listed more "substitutes" than assigned competitors and russia hasn't anyone listed.
it's almost not worth speculating at this point.

fyi---four of the 8 jgp finals will likely return this year (three of them russian), as well as the first alternate.

of those currently assigned, only hoffmann/elek of hungary ranked in the top ten (first). matthews/zavozin ranked thirteenth and karam/mcgrath of canada, fifteenth. after that, 21st to 53rd and 18 of those listed, didn't compete at all in a jgp last season.
