Rudy has completed most of the pre-surgery procedures for his first hip replacement scheduled for August 19 in Reno. The second will follow about six weeks later.
Those who would like to wish him well during his surgeries and recovery periods, as well as on his 34th birthday on September 7, can do so at this address:
Rudy Galindo
4790 Caughlin Pkwy. - #319
Reno, NV 89509-0907
His web site will be updated Thursday, August 21, and regularly thereafter. The mailing address will also appear there. http://www.rudy-galindo.com/news.htm
Your support will be very encouraging to Rudy during all this!

Thank you for the information. I've already addressed a get well card to him & will mark his birthday on my calendar. I first saw Rudi when he was 17 yrs old & paired with a 15 yr. old Kristi. Time flies!

Hope all goes well with Rudy's surgery & recovery! One of my favourite skating memories of all times is his 96 nationals win.
I'll send him a card tomorrow.

I have to totally agree! That performance is fresh in my mind to this day!! Along with Taras Olympic win, it is what *makes* skating! :)

Change the sport, AIDS awareness, and the world for the better, in my humble opinion.

Thanks for the update on Rudy I'll send him out some cards.
Rudy has been a wonderful inspiration to me. Reading his bio I learned so much about what he endured so far in life. He has proven that persistance in skating and life really does pay off. He's a great athlete, entertainer and all around sweet person.
