well!
it's about time! i took them off the senior "competitive" list a while back, given that the rumor that naomi was not interested LAST summer in skating much (not showing up to practice and peter feeling very frustrated, based on russian connections). in careful rereading of posts and reports, there is STILL question in my mind, at least, if no others, that there was anything really wrong with her ankle, tendon, ankle , tendon, well, you know, and now she apparently needs no surgery after all at this time?
OK, so peter decided that he had no other serious options, (and, yes, i think tanith or pasha would be great partners for him but neither would get him to the 2006 olys---and don't worry about ben, lydia mannon and he would be great partners! but, usfsa would suffer internationally, and therefore, it is not a really valid thought) and thus the official "time off" competition (to give naomi time to reconsider her desire to continue in competitive skating?)...
sigh.

Who exactly said Naomi doesn't need surgery? Could it be she doesn't need it unless she plans to compete? As far as Naomi not showing up to practice, from what I know she showed up every day did what she was supposed to, but not quite the workaholic that Peter is, and didn't have her heart in it.

Post removed because it made mention of previously removed stuff that was asked not to be posted here, and this time its paraphrased but still makes mention of the identities, etc.

I agree it's really confusing, and as you trust your sources, I trust mine very much as well. But honestly whatever is going on only Naomi and Peter know the complete truth, no matter how many "sources" one has. I wish them the best, in whatever they decide to do.
