Seems that Gregory and Petukhov have been added to Evening of Champions! So much news for U.S. Ice Dance this week.

I wish I could go! Does anyone know if/when this event will be televised? I saw G&P for the first time at Nationals in January, and I really liked them. I'd love to see them live. I was hoping to make it to Lake Placid for the "Miracles of Gold" Ice Revue, but I can't get the time off :( Anyone else planning on going to Lake Placid?

I'm training there that week, and I'll be there for the show on Saturday. Are Melissa and Denis skating in it? I hadn't heard that, but Shae and Victor are, so I suppose it would make sense.

I found this on their website. Thanks for the tip. Wish I didn't live so far.

8.4 Melissa and Denis will be skating in the Miracles of Gold Summer Ice Revue on Saturday, August, 16, at 1980 Rink in Lake Placid, NY. Click here for more information on the shows.

Looks like Senior Dance will be an awesome event at Nationals this year! I bet we'll see some real battles for 2nd-6th place!

Gre/Pet
G-R/M
Gib/Pek
N/F
O'M/M

Rumor has it that O'M/M looked incredible at LP, and that N/F need to change some of their choreography. I wonder what would have happened if Gib/Pek hadn't fallen on the OD since their FD got such rave reviews? We'll know how Gre/Pet look with their new coaches after next weekend's show, and G-R/M will perform at An Evening With Champions in October! This year is SO exciting!

Don't forget about Navarro/Shamlo and Moxley/Kirsonov in that mix. Curious as to why N/F need to change choreography? Was that why they didn't win the free dance or was G/P just better? Seems that their OD was fine by the result. I hope your information is fact not speculation. And I agree, Senior Dance will be fun to watch!!!

N/F had a stumble at the end of their FD... they didn't fall, but it was obvious and in my opinion, the only difference between first and second.

Actually, I did begin by saying "rumor has it" so this is not necessarily fact, but mere hearsay from 2 judges and 2 coaches, not from Lydia or Ryan or Em or Brandon themselves.

Actually, N/F had a 4/5 split with Lydia/Ryan for 2nd and 3rd. It was a much more decisive victory for 1st, particularly since the four US 'power judges' (the International ones) placed Gib/Pek above N/F. Bob Horen actually had N/F 4th in the FD. Perhaps the difference was more one of perception in that Gib/Pek and M/O shocked everyone with how good they looked, whereas people knew/expected N/F to be strong. In any event, it will be an EXTREMELY interesting year for Sr. dance with so many enormously talented couples looking so good so early - isn't that great?!?!
