Here's a follow-up article on the impact that Will Sears still has on the skating community. It really makes you realize what a terrific young man he was and what a terrific family.

"Ariel" was Will Sears' real first name - Ariel William Sears.

Yeah.. I remember him as Ariel but halfway through it his mom had his named changed to his middle name. At one point he was A. William Sears. I couldn't call him Will and he didn't mind me calling him Ariel (that was his name ;) ) and that was that. He became "big" as Will Sears when he concentrated in pairs but I knew him as a singles skaters just getting into pairs with Moskvin as coach. The adorable boy even went to our National Puerto Rican Parade Gala in a tux and danced our music and we had a blast!! Quite a culture shock for him but he endeared me from that day on ;) :D
