Senior Pairs short was the only Wild Rose event I ended up going to, so this should be fairly short and sweet...only three pairs in the field. It was closed marking, so no results, but I'm pretty sure that this is how they finished:
1. Jenna DeBoer/Michael Fowlie - movie music that sounded familiar
2tw a little low with the Sale/Pelletier no hands catch, sbs 2a good, th3s (I think...may have been a double), sbs spins were good until the end, star lift that was a little scary and came down early, BODS scrape-y, pair spin
2. Lindsay McCaustlin/Christopher Davies - Drum piece
back overhead lift in tuck position to one hand, straight-line footwork was good, very slow entrance to th3t fall, sbs spins were good, 2tw was OK with the no hands catch, sbs 3t he fell and she only got 2 1/2 rotations, BODS a little high, pair spin was nice. Choreography was interesting and they were "finished" but didn't really sell the program. The th3t was clean in warm-up, but the sbs jumps didn't look close (at least not for her).
3. Carly Hanson/Brad Dalziel - flamenco
th3s fall, overhead lift to star to reverse star, diagonal footwork, BODS, sbs spins a little off, sbs 3s she did 2 1/s rotations and he doubled, 2tw tried to do the no hands catch, but it was really crashy and they nearly fell, pair spin was nice.
I didn't end up going to the long programs because I decided I'd rather get home at a decent time, so that's it for me from Wild Rose and the NAC in Edmonton.
