In order of finish:

Katy Taylor
SP (3) something classical sounding - circular footwork, 2a barely, fall
while stroking, 3lz fall, very good layback, good flying sit spin in
canonball position, serpentine spiral sequence, footwork into 3f,
combination spin
LP (1) America the Beautiful and other patriotic sounding music - 3f,
great layback with a sideways leaning position for the last few
rotations, moves in the field into a 2a, 3lp, 3lz, combination spin, 3s
fall, 2a good, flying camel, 3lp-2t tight but clean, combination spin
good, straight-line footwork, footwork into a 3lz in the last 10 seconds
of the program. I wasn't sure on whether the lutzes were flutzes or
not...if they were flutzed, it was slight.
She had a real spark to her presentation although I preferred Perry's
style. It's amazing that someone this talented may not even get a JGP
assignment because of the depth of the ladies in the US.

Brianna Perry
SP (1) Dramatic movie type - 3t-2t, flying sit spin good, 2a, footwork
into 2f, serpentine spiral sequence, layback that was slow and weak,
straight line footwork, combination spin. She had my favourite costume
of the event, with a cool spiderweb design on it...maybe her music was
from the movie "Along Came a Spider"?
LP (2) something vaguely New Age-y - 3flutz-2t, 3s into 2a, 3t, flying
sit spin good, 3lp fall, good spiral, 2f, layback a little weak, great
straight line footwork sequence that had what we think was an inside
axel in the middle of it, wally, reverse wally into 2a-2t, combination
spin.
I was very impressed that she managed to land the flutz because she
really struggled with it in practice. A very stylish skater that made
good use of her arms. Excellent technique on the easier jumps.

Jessica Dube
SP (2) soft piano piece - 3lz fall, footwork into 2f, excellent layback
with catchfoot position, diagonal footwork, serpentine spiral sequence
with very good positions, flying sit spin in a canonball position,
combination spin that was good but had a bit of travel.
LP (3) Danse Macabre - 2a into 3s step out, gorgeous 3lz, 2f, flying
camel that became a Biellman, 3s fall, 2t, beautiful spiral sequence,
Ina Bauer, 2lp, layback, diagonal footwork, 2lz into 2a-2t, combination
spin nice.
Not her best skate, but it sounds like a slight improvement over
Liberty. Jessica's skating actually reminds me of the 96 Olympic
gymnastics champion Lilia Podkopayeva--always in perfect position and so
precise. Commentators used to say about Lilia "you could never take a
bad picture of her" and that's the way Jessica is, too. Really
delightful presentation.

Jessica Houston
SP (5) Objection (Shakira) - 3t too slow so no combination, footwork
into 2f, combination spin with weak positions, serpentine spiral
sequence, 2a, weak flying sit spin, OK layback with a catchfoot
position, straight line footwork sequence that seemed a little slow.
LP (5) Drum piece that included Caravan - 3t hard fall, 2f-2t,
combination spin, 3lp that may have been slightly 2fted, neat
Besti-squat type move, 3s maybe cheated, straight line footwork,
footwork into 3t fall, two wallys into 2a, footwork into 2f, flying
camel.
I'm sounding like a broken record but another fairly polished skater
that still needs development in selling the program.

Michelle Cantu
SP (8) something Broadway-ish - 3flutz fall, footwork into 3f fall,
flying sit spin OK, good serpentine spiral sequence, 2a with a hop out,
weak layback, circular footwork, combination spin.
LP (4) Don Quixote - 2a, 3flutz, 2f, 3lp(2ft)-2t, flying camel with
donut position, 3s hop out 2t, spiral sequence, 3lp fall, straight-line
footwork into 2f, layback that became a Biellman that lost a bit of
speed, 3flutz that was cheated into 2t fall, straight-line footwork,
combination spin.
I was quite impressed with her skating, particularly in the practices,
where she was landing all the triple jumps. Good presentation, too.
According to one of the skater's mothers, she just began training with
Tarasova and Yagudin this year. I hope that she gets to go to Junior
Worlds this year, because I think she would stand a good chance of
qualifying for the short program and possibly the free skate.

Amelie Lacoste
SP (6) Spanish guitar - 2a, layback that travelled and the position was
not great, 3lz fall, combination spin was OK, serpentine spiral sequence
with good speed, footwork into 2f tight, straight line footwork, flying
sit spin good.
LP (6) Rachmaninov Piano Concerto #2 - 2a-2t, popped lutz, 3f almost
landed but she just couldn't get her free leg out in time, 3s into 3lp
fall, combination spin, footwork into 3lp 2ft and underrotated, spirals,
1s, 2a, circular footwork, death drop sit spin up to an eggbeater
position.

Laurin Henderson
SP (4) Quidam - 2a, 3s-2t, layback, circular footwork, footwork into 2f,
flying sit with not much fly, serpentine spiral, combination spin OK.
LP (8) not sure of music but I think the end was Xotica - 2a nice, 3lz
fall (not very close--couldn't get legs uncrossed), 3s hand down, flying
camel, 2t 2ft, 3lp 2ft and underrotated, 2s, layback, 1lz, diagonal
footwork, 2f, combination spin. Really slowed down near the end.

Stephanie Tremblay
SP (7) something sort of middle Eastern sounding - footwork into 3f
fall, 1lz, serpentine spiral sequence, 2a, flying sit spin with not much
fly, layback not great, circular footwork, combination spin that was
weak.
LP (8) 3t hand down, 3f fall, spiral, 2flutz, straight line footwork, 2a
into 2t, layback, running threes into 2lp 2ft, footwork into 2lz-2t,
1a-2t, combination spin.

Emily Naphtal
SP (9) violin music sounding sort of classical - 3s with major stumbles
and no combination, 2a fall, nice layback with catchfoot position, very
good serpentine spiral sequence, OK flying sit spin, diagonal footwork,
combination spin with Biellman on both legs (second Biellman was
excellent).
LP (9) something Broadway-ish - 3t landed on wrong ft, 2f, 2a 2fted into
2t, flying camel, spirals with good amplitude, 2 1/2lp, 3s with slight
cheat, arch into 2t-2lp, layback nice, straight line footwork into 2a
(2ft), 2lz, combination spin with Biellman, diagonal footwork.
