At what point are copyrights and performance rights an issue?

Do you mean at what level of competiton? I'm not too sure on whether or not it's an issue if it's not televised.

I don't think anyone REALLY knows...I'd say it's only an issue if the artist finds out and is upset. :lol:
In one of Isabelle Brasseur and Lloyd Eisler's books, it said that you don't need permission if it's part of a competition, and you don't need permission for a show unless it's telivised more than 24 hours after it happens or something. (I'm not sure if that's it exactly) But I don't know, that sounds kinda weird....
